Running with the Vision Youth Football, Enfield

The Jack Petchey Achievement Awards have made an incredible difference to our youth project. We were introduced to the Foundation when a number of years back when Geoff Russell-Jones made a presentation to different youth organisations in Enfield about the Jack Petchey Foundation. I couldn’t quite believe that the process was so simple and the support so generous. The trustees met with Geoff a short while later and quickly signed up for our project to be part of the awards.

The support given over the years has been instrumental in providing a foundation and help move our project forward. As a result of the financial support given through these awards we have been able purchase essential equipment, go on trips together and run football tournaments. The awards are also a great way to encourage the young people to better themselves in behavior, attitude and respect for others. We work in one of most deprived areas in the UK and these awards help raise self esteem and give the young people something to which to aspire. When they attend the award presentation evenings this means so much to them and their families.

Our ethos is to work with young people regardless of their ability, background, culture or faith and we are proud to be associated with the Jack Petchey Foundation as we believe we share in the same ethos, desire and commitment to see young people aspire to make something better of their lives.

We would recommend without hesitation The Jack Petchey Foundation to any youth organisation and would like to take this opportunity to thank Jack  and all the staff for the wonderful work being done in so many young people lives.
