George Arthur
Fourteen year old George Arthur was nominated for an Achievement Award for a variety of personal contributions at 6th Hillingdon Scout Group including: encouraging others within the group, outstanding ability at tasks and for being dedicated and highly professional at all times.
When asked about the Celebration Event George said: "The award ceremony was really good - it was entertaining and enjoyable. It was really nice to have the support of my both my scout leaders and one of my scout friends on the night.
There were other leaders from the other districts and it was good to see friends from other district receiving their medallions too. It made us all realise that we that we are part of one big organisation aiming to accomplish similar goals and to get the best life experiences.
The award has inspired me to continue my scouting career and I have the desire to become a leader in the near future".
