Leading on from the success of our 2013 Anthem Competition, we began searching for a soundtrack to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the Jack Petchey Foundation.

We wanted a young composer to write a CELEBRATION anthem along the themes of INSPIRATION and ACHIEVEMENT.

The winning artist was able to record their song in a leading London studio with an experienced producer and team of industry professionals - a prize almost too good to be true!

The winning song was also performed at the Jack Petchey Foundation Festival of Youth in Spring 2015. The celebratory event brought together young people from across London and Essex including our major programmes Step into Dance, Jack Petchey’s Glee Club Challenge, the Speak Out Challenge and Panathlon.

8 semi-finalists attended a specialist bootcamp before our expert judges, whittled the entries to the final 4 who face the public vote

8 semi-finalists were selected for a mandatory boot camp with Award-winning composer Thomas Hewitt-Jones, vocal coach Charles Macdougall and lyricist Jennifer Lee who offered guidance and advice on song-writing, performance and musicianship. After re-recording their songs, the entrants were whittled down to a final 4 to face the public vote and judging from a panel of experts.
