Are you eligible?
You can apply if you are a registered charity, or a group with charitable purposes, in operation for at least 12 months. However, The Foundation is currently revisiting eligibility criteria and the application process for the Achievement Award Scheme. Applications will temporarily close from September 1st and an announcement about the new process will be made in November.
What we do support

The Foundation is likely to support:

Organisations and charities that promote involvement and personal responsiblity within society.

Clubs & youth groups that demonstrate that they are enabling individuals to achieve their potential take control of their lives and contribute to society as a whole.

The training of youth leaders.

Projects that assist young people to over come problems that prevent them reaching their potential. These may include addiction, homelessness and ill health.

Projects that help develop self-esteem through involving young people in sport and other worth while activities.

Youth organisations, Scouts, Sea Cadets, Police Cadets, Guides, Army Cadets, etc.

Secondary Schools and other training establishments with grants so that they can provide a better service to young people (care is taken not to give grants where statutory funding is available).

Volunteer projects.

Schemes that tackle the problems faced by young people from ethnic minority groups.

Projects where there is ‘match funding’ or demonstrable support from those involved with the organisation.
What we do not support
The Foundation will not accept applications:
- From applicants who have applied within the previous 12 months.
- That directly replace statutory funding.
- From individuals or for the benefit of one individual (unless under a Sponsorship Scheme).
- For work that has already taken place.
- Which do not directly benefit people in the UK.
- For medical research.
- For animal welfare.
- For endowment funds.
- That are part of general appeals or circulars.
The Foundation is also unlikely to support:

- Building or major refurbishment projects.
- Conferences and seminars.
- Projects where the main purpose is to promote religious beliefs.
