The Achievement Awards Scheme
Nearly £2 million is allocated to this scheme each year. (£4.8 million is budgeted for 2008).

It is designed to recognise outstanding individual achievement amongst young people. Applications are encouraged from any organisation working with young people (aged between 11 and 25 years old) and with a regular and active membership of 12 young people or more, within our catchment area, now covering the whole of Essex and all London boroughs. |
Three Outstanding Benefits
- enables schools/colleges/youth clubs etc. to recognise the effort, endeavour and achievement of young people in a practical and positive way
- provision of additional funds for schools/colleges and youth clubs ~ worth £3,000 - £4,000 a year, including the Leader Award
- enables schools/colleges, youth organisations to nominate an adult to win a Jack Petchey Foundation Leader Award (youth worker, volunteer, teacher, non-teaching member of staff etc.)
Which organizations run The Achievement Award Scheme?
The Achievement Award Scheme is currently run by Schools, Colleges, youth clubs, sporting clubs, scout and guide groups, cadet forces, drama, dance and art groups as well as a whole host of other youth focussed organisations.
