Achievement Awards
| A popular and widely used scheme. It started in East
London and because of its success, the Trustees of the Foundation
agreed to offer the programme to all London boroughs
and Essex.
Nearly £2 million is allocated to this scheme each year. (£4.8 million is budgeted for 2008). |
Three
Outstanding Benefits
- enables secondary schools/colleges/youth clubs etc. to recognise the effort, endeavour and achievement of young people in a practical and positive way
- provision of additional funds for secondary schools/colleges and youth clubs ~ worth £3,000 - £4,000 a year, including the Leader Award
- enables secondary schools/colleges, youth organisations to nominate an adult to win a Jack Petchey Foundation Leader Award (youth worker, volunteer, teacher, non-teaching member of staff etc.)
What Is On Offer

Each month participating youth clubs, secondary schools, colleges etc. select ONE young person to receive an Achievement Award.

The month’s winner receives a framed certificate and a cheque (payable to the school/college/club) to be spent on a school, club or community project of the recipient’s choice.

Cheques, frames, certificates etc. are sent by the Jack Petchey Foundation to secondary schools, clubs etc. twice a year.

From time to time JPF shares applicant information with other funders, our PR agency and third parties for the furtherance of JPF activities.
