14 year old Harry Manners won an Achievement Award for his commitment to Croygas Youth FC and the wider community. Harry was singled out for his efforts on the club’s Volunteer ‘Tidy Up Day’, where the Croygas Under 10s and Under14s teams cleared rubbish and foliage from around the club’s grounds in Wallington, Surrey.
The enthusiastic teenager also helps younger players to develop their skills at Croygas. Harry assists the coaching staff of the Under 10s, 11s and 12s sides who recognised his commitment and passion for the whole club.
Harry spent the £200 he received for winning the Achievement Award on two training mannequins that are used for practicing free kicks and other set piece play.
Another 2014 winner at Croygas was 14 year old Nathaniel Mayers who won his award for demonstrating the 5 C’s (Confidence, Communication, Commitment, Concentration & Control) consistently over a specialised 4 week training period. Nathaniel put his award money towards a day out paintballing with his teammates at Croygas.
Both winners are now preparing for the 2014-15 season and will be full of confidence after being recognised for their achievements the previous year.
