St Bonaventure's enjoy lunch with Jack!

Youngsters take their ideas to Jack!

Six budding entrepreneurs from East London visited Jack Petchey in February to discuss their current projects and business ideas for the future.

Joshua and Trey from Y10, Abass and Acshayan from Year 11 and Araniya and Teresa from Year 12 are all students at St Bonaventure’s School in Forest Gate.

Jack was very impressed with how successful Abass’ customised sock project was going, while Teresa, Araniya and Acshayan told him all about their new clothing enterprise called 'Incognito'. The trio plan to design, manufacture, market and sell their brand of fashionable clothing. They even took a prototype of a design to show him! Trey and Joshua told Jack about their Enterprise Group called 'AIM' and their idea of a school survival kit for new students.

As well as offering his input on their projects, Jack told the students snippets about his life and the lessons he had learnt along the way. He also gave the students a copy of his autobiography 50/50 man, which he hoped would further inspire the young people to follow their dreams and achieve their goals.

Diane Halliwell from St Bonaventure’s who accompanied the students on the trip said,

"Jack's name is synonymous with success in St Bon's and the students said they felt really honoured to have been invited to meet the great man who they had heard so much about."
