Is our organisation eligible to apply for a Leader Award?
In order to nominate a Leader you must be an organisation operating the Achievement Award, and you must have successfully completed, and reported on, at least one full grant period (ie January – June or September to November).
Who can win a Leader award?
Any volunteer/paid adult within your organisation who meets the following criteria can win a Leader Award.
Examples may include youth /volunteer leaders, school teachers, teaching assistants, community leaders, volunteers, support staff, care takers, sport coaches etc.
Omah Ansah-Awuah from Rokeby School won a Leader Award. Through his nomination we were told that “with his energy, resilience and passion for dance, Omar has transformed the lives of these young people. He gives up every evening to train them and has become a hugely significant role model in their lives. Omar is a true star, and he fully deserves this award!”
How do I apply?
The nomination and selection of your leader must happen internally within your club or school.
However, when it comes to actually relaying that information to the Jack Petchey Foundation, it must be your Achievement Award coordinator who completes our online form.
To apply you must complete the online application form. (Please note you will be required to provide information about the organisation, the individual nominated and provide contact details. Please click here to read the statement on how we use the information and data you have provided).
Please click here to access the form.
Other things to note:
How long does the process take?
You will hear from us within 28 days of us receiving your application.
Please note, in order to guarantee that we can turn things around in time for a celebration event, we request that your application is with us at least of 6 weeks before any ceremony that you wish to attend.
