Volunteer from Dagenham travels to Kenya to continue support to orphanage

In August 2016, 25 year old Oreoluwa Osuntuyi from Dagenham travelled to Nakura, Kenya to volunteer at an orphanage run by the Sure24 Foundation. The Jack Petchey Foundation awarded Oreoluwa a £220 IGFV grant to help cover the cost of volunteering.

Young people enjoy weekly cooking lessons thanks to Jack Petchey grant

200 Young people sharpen their skills on basketball summer camp

Thanks again to a £750 grant awarded to the club by the Foundation, the club was able to organise a two week basketball summer camp in Croydon, in which 200 young people benefited from.

Volunteer project works to brighten the future of young people in India

Florence spent three months volunteering with ICS charity Restless Development in rural India, in the region of Tamil Nadu. Florence was awarded a £300 Individual Volunteer Grant by the Jack Petchey Foundation, helping her fund the trip.

Youth Club in Bromley takes inspiration from their community in new murals

In the Spring of 2016, the Castlecombe Youth Centre in Bromley organised an arts, crafts and, cooking project which took place over twelve weeks. The project was funded by a small grant awarded to the centre by the Jack Petchey Foundation.

In February 2015, Lucy Bailey volunteered for ten weeks with the charity ABC for Life, through the International Citizen Service (ICS). ABC for Life is a charity based in Sentinel Primary School in Hout Bay, South Africa.

As part of the Jack Petchey Foundation's 15th Anniversary Crystal Award Grant Scheme, St Christopher's Hospice received a £6000 donation to fund a special trip for the Young Adults group to WOMAD music festival.
