New boxing equipment for Newham club helps youth stay fit and focused

Fight for Peace is an international organization which uses boxing combined with personal development to realise the potential of young people. Their London Academy in Newham received a Small Grant of £750 from JPF for sparring equipment.

Small Grant enables young people to volunteer within their community

Ursuline Links is a volunteer programme founded in 2010 by Ursuline Sisters to provide young people with volunteer opportunities both in the UK and abroad. In 2016 they received a Small Grant of £750 for their Young Leaders project.

London students exchange language and culture on trip of a lifetime to China

Enoch Tilahun, a student at William Ellis School had the experience of a lifetime in March 2016, when he visited Yunnan province in China for a cultural exchange. The Jack Petchey Foundation supported his trip by awarding him a £180 volunteer grant.

#CrystalAwards: Young talent sharpen their acting skills at free Easter course.

One of the groups who received the Crystal Award Grant was Mountview Academy Theatre Arts, one of the UK's leading drama schools, situated in Wood Green. Mountview used their grant to fund a week-long Easter acting course for 40 local young people.

Volunteers donate $1000 to development project in Togo

During the Spring of 2016, Sania Parvez along with 14 other UK volunteers and 14 national volunteers, took part in a $1000 Development Challenge. Sania was awarded an Individual Grant for Volunteering by the Jack Petchey Foundation.

Educating youth in Tanzania will benefit future generations

Michaela Willsher spent twelve weeks volunteering in Manyara, Tanzania with the charity Raleigh through the ICS volunteer programme. The Jack Petchey Foundation awarded Michaela a £300 Individual Grant for Volunteering to help her cover the cost.

In June 2016, Hannah Baker embarked on her journey to Sri Lanka, where she would spend four weeks volunteering with Plan my Gap Year, teaching children, supported by a £230 Individual Grant for Volunteering from the Jack Petchey Foundation.

Technology and Technique: Orpington Swimmers awarded underwater cameras

Thanks to a Jack Petchey Foundation Small Grant, the swimming club was able to buy a professional underwater telescope camera, SD card and a GoPro camera to help improve their techniques.
