#CrystalAwards: Young people of Epping Forest have their voices heard at Youth Conference

Epping Forest Youth Council (EFYC) are a local body of 22 democratically elected young people, who are 13-19 years old. EFYC used their £1500 Crystal Awards grant to hold a Youth Conference during Local Democracy week in October 2015.

Resources for Autism provide practical services for children and adults with an autistic spectrum condition and for those who care for them. They used the grant to improve the level of service and activities on offer throughout the London.

#Crystal Awards: Young performers raise the roof of the Harlow Playhouse

Razed Roof is an inclusive performing arts group for people with, and without, learning difficulties and disabilities. The grant allowed Razed Roof to work on community-based workshops and perform a major production at the Harlow Playhouse.

New equipment enables Greenwich Powerchair Football to join competitive league

Thanks to a Leader Award grant awarded to the club by the Jack Petchey Foundation, the club was able to buy a speed tracking machine, allowing them to take part in the PFC league.

Young volunteer undertakes conservation research in Indonesia

In May 2016, Stephanie Driver travelled to the Raja Ampat Islands in remote Indonesia, to volunteer for the Barefoot Conservation, taking part in both marine conservation and community work.

5th Islington Scout group make friends and have adventures on a trip to Italy

With help from a £750 leader award grant, the 5th Islington Scout group spent a week in Italy after being invited by the Pistoia 2 Scout group. They enjoyed the cultural exchange and camping in the mountains of Pistoia.

Members of Croydon Youth Group learn and have fun on a trip to the Sea Life Centre

Reaching Higher is a youth organization based in Croydon, which provides a range of creative and interactive activities for young people. Thanks to a Small Grant from the Jack Petchey Foundation, the youth group took a trip the Sea Life Centre.

Volunteer raises money to fund a trip to Lourdes for young people with disabilities

For Easter 2016 Shauna volunteered with the charity HCPT, which gives young disabled people the opportunity to to take a pilgrimage to Lourdes, and also enjoy themselves on holiday with other young people.

Volunteer from Dagenham travels to Kenya to continue support to orphanage

In August 2016, 25 year old Oreoluwa Osuntuyi from Dagenham travelled to Nakura, Kenya to volunteer at an orphanage run by the Sure24 Foundation. The Jack Petchey Foundation awarded Oreoluwa a £220 IGFV grant to help cover the cost of volunteering.
