Young athletes watch the best of the best at the IAAF World Athletics Championships!

This summer, 27 lucky young athletes from St Mary's Richmond Athletic Club attended the 2017 IAAF World Athletics Championships at the London Stadium in Stratford. This was made possible thanks to a £750 Small Grant from the Jack Petchey Foundation.

Student volunteer helps to raise over £140,000 for a school for deaf children in Kenya.

Since 2013, Ali Macnaughton has been volunteering for a grassroots initiative called Project Riandu, which works to empower deaf people in eastern Kenya. The Jack Petchey Foundation supported Ali with a £280 Individual Grant for Volunteering.

Tosin Ilembola, aged 18, was nominated by her peers and teachers at Mill Hill County High School in Barnet for a Jack Petchey Achievement Award, to recognise the outstanding work she does within her community.

Volunteer helps reduce the effects of climate change in a village in Nicaragua

In the summer of 2016, Jamil Lalani volunteered with Progressio ICS in a rural community in Nicaragua. He was supported in his volunteer work with a £200 Individual Grant for Volunteering awarded to him by the Jack Petchey Foundation.

Musical instruments help to enrich a special needs school's curriculum

The Village School in Brent received a £750 Small Grant from the Jack Petchey Foundation through the Leader Award scheme which they spent on musical instruments for the whole school.
