Dedicated Guides Leader is recognised by the Jack Petchey Foundation for outstanding volunteering

Earlier this year, the 1st Jaywick Girl Guides nominated Helen Stannet for a Jack Petchey Leader Award. Helen’s Leader Award was given in recognition of 29 years of outstanding service to 1st Jaywick Rainbows, Brownies and Guides.

A waterpark adventure blossoming confidence!

In July 2017 the 1st Addington Guides took an exciting trip to a waterpark thanks to a £750 Small Grant from the Jack Petchey Foundation. The outing included two sessions, an inflatable obstacle course and a cable knee-boarding lesson.

Young athletes watch the best of the best at the IAAF World Athletics Championships!

This summer, 27 lucky young athletes from St Mary's Richmond Athletic Club attended the 2017 IAAF World Athletics Championships at the London Stadium in Stratford. This was made possible thanks to a £750 Small Grant from the Jack Petchey Foundation.

Student volunteer helps to raise over £140,000 for a school for deaf children in Kenya.

Since 2013, Ali Macnaughton has been volunteering for a grassroots initiative called Project Riandu, which works to empower deaf people in eastern Kenya. The Jack Petchey Foundation supported Ali with a £280 Individual Grant for Volunteering.
