Cartoon competition winner announced!

'How volunteering changed my life'

16 year old Reem Moussa has won the Jack Petchey Foundation cartoon competition for 2014. The St Dominic’s Sixth Form College student beat off fierce competition from avid cartoonists from across London and Essex to claim the top prize. Her illustration will feature on the Jack Petchey section of school planners, which are distributed across London and Essex to schools on the Achievement Award scheme.

The criteria for the competition were that the cartoon had to be based on the theme of volunteering. Reem’s winning design is presented as a comic strip and tells the story ‘How volunteering changed my life’. Her quote to accompany the cartoon is ‘to thine own self be true'.

Congratulations Reem on winning the competition and we look forward to seeing your winning design in school planners across the capital and beyond!
