On the 12th and 13th April 2016, more than 220 pupils came to City Hall to participate in the heats for the Count on Us Secondary Challenge, delivered in a partnership between the Mayor's Fund for London and the Jack Petchey Foundation. Over 45 schools from across London went head to head in this thrilling maths tournament, competing for one of just 12 places in the final event on June 30th.
Year 8 and 9 pupils tackled challenges involving tangrams, pentominoes, algebraic equations and the 24® Game – a maths card game that challenges players to make 24 using fractions, decimals and whole numbers.
