Elutec Open Day - 16th November

Elutec, a new University Technical College (UTC) for 14-18 years olds in London and Essex, is holding an open day on 16th November.

The Jack Petchey Foundation is supporting the Elutec project, which will specialise in engineering and design and offer students the opportunity to learn from both scholastic experts from University College London and practicing engineers and designers.

The Open Day will give young people the opportunity to find out more about courses they are interested in and learn about what they can expect as a student at Elutec.  The sessions will include a presentation, formal and informal talks, a question-and-answer session and demonstrations.

Mark Miodownik, who presents the BBC Science Club with Dara O'Brien, will be demonstrating some amazing science.  Subject-specific sessions and exhibition stands include: Arcola Energy-Hydrogen Cars, C-Max, a new product with the 1.0 Eco boost engine, and in Race Red, an Anglia 105E (Harry Potter car), 3D printing and many more!

Elutec industrial partners Ford, National Grid, Prospects Learning Foundation, BAM, BA Systems, Selex ES, A Finmeccanica Company, will also be showing cutting edge technological, engineering and design inventions!
