Essex teen cuts off locks for cancer

Kaitlyn Clifton-Ward from Braintree has won a Jack Petchey Achievement Award for her incredible selflessness.

The 14 year old had her 22 inch long hair shaved off in aid of Cancer Research UK. Kaitlyn donated her locks to the Little Princess Trust, who make wigs for children who suffer from hair loss. She has raised a fantastic £300 so far and will use the £200 Achievement Award money to buy prizes for Tabor Academy’s Christmas raffle - so that she can generate even more money for Cancer Research.

Well done Kaitlyn!
