Youth STEMM Award

The skills award inspiring the next generation of STEMM professionals.

The Youth STEMM Award (YSA) is a flexible and personalised skills award for young people aged 11–19, empowering them to design their own programme of STEMM activities. Participants work towards a Bronze, Silver, or Gold Award by completing activities at school, at home, or online – choosing experiences that align with their interests and transforming them into a meaningful structured programme.

For schools and colleges, running the YSA is a powerful way to increase participation and diversity in STEMM careers and further training and evidence Gatsby Benchmarks. Students reflect on their learning in a personal YSA digital portfolio and can also add Youth STEMM Award to their UCAS application and CV.
