New STEM Partner!

Does your organisation have a new or existing STEM project for young people in London and/or Essex that you would like to develop and grow? Or do you know an organisation that does?

The Jack Petchey Foundation are looking for a new STEM programme delivery partner!

We are a London and Essex partnership funder whose vision is of a world where young people have high aspirations; the opportunity to develop their potential; the chance to be architects of their own future; to play a full part in society and to be valued and recognised for the positive things they achieve.

It is a long term commitment of the Jack Petchey Foundation to provide opportunities for young people to develop their potential in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM).

We are looking for an opportunity to partner with an organisation and fund the delivery and growth of a STEM programme for young people in London or Essex, and ideally both.  Historically we have a lot of success working within the secondary school network, and we also have many strong links with youth organisations across the Capital and Essex.

We would like to work with an organisation that is an expert in the field of STEM and share a vision for growth. Our programmes start from small beginnings, but many have successfully grown to be offered at scale to young people across London and Essex. We are deeply committed to ensuring the success of our partners and aim to work together to develop systems and processes to deliver and expand JPF partnership programmes over the long term. Some of our partnerships have been running for over ten years.

We expect our programmes to be able to offer young people the opportunity to do one or more of the following: increase their skills or knowledge; feel heard, valued and recognised; grow in their resilience and wellbeing; and increase their self-belief and confidence.

If you have a project that you believe might fit please get in touch!

In the first instance we would ask for you to email Gemma Dunbar, Head of Programme Development, with no more than a one page summary on your programme and its objectives.

If we feel there is scope to develop then we will ask for a more detailed application which will be online with our ‘General Guidance on Preparing a Partnership Proposal’  which can be found here.

Whilst we do not wish for detailed information at the start, it would be beneficial for any potential partners to take a quick look at this document before approaching us, to ensure that you share a similar long term vision, appetite and capacity.

Please note you must be an organisation whose wider mission and vision is also in line with ours. Read About Us for more detail.
