Your Voice, Your Future: The Jack Petchey Youth Survey

Thank you for your interest in taking part in this survey. We want to hear from those aged 11-25 year olds from across London and Essex. This includes those in education and employment, as well as those not currently in employment, education or training.
At the Jack Petchey Foundation we believe society benefits when young people are valued, heard and given opportunities to develop and realise their potential.
This survey is a chance for us to amplify the voices of young people! We will present the data we collect to key decision makers in governments and local councils to illustrate the importance of listening to young people’s voices. Be sure to spread the word and tell others to complete the survey.
By filling out the form and providing your contact details you will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win £200! If 12 or more young people from one school or youth group complete the survey, they could also win £500 for their organisation. If you are not part of a school, college or youth group but get 12 or more people to complete the survey, we will provide the grant to an organisation of your choosing. The full terms and conditions are available to read here. If you are under 18, please provide your parent/guardian’s contact details.
The survey will be open until 11:59pm on Sunday 2nd November 2025.
We’re asking you, the young people of London and Essex, to share how confident you are in using your voice, why that is and what could help you express yourself in the future.
We will use the information we collect to raise awareness of young people’s experiences and to challenge decision-makers to use their power in a way that will help young people. We will also use your thoughts and ideas to increase support for young people, whether that be in terms of provision, perceptions/attitudes and societal inclusion.
This survey is your chance to speak out and be heard.
The survey consists of four sections and should take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
Your feedback will be anonymous and will be read and analysed by the Jack Petchey Foundation. We will not share your personal details with any third party, but we may share any quotes provided on our social media and send them out to the press to share about the experiences of the young people in London and Essex.
