Jade on Work Experience at the Foundation

Jade on Work Experience at the Foundation

We love welcoming young people to take an insight into how JPF operates in the office! This summer, Jade, aged 16 joined our Communications Team to help celebrate young people’s achievements and make sure their voices are heard. Read about Jade’s work experience below!

This summer, I have been fortunate enough to have been selected to have 3 weeks of experience for the JPF! As someone who had just finished GCSEs and is interested in pursuing a career in either Finance or Technology, I found that my time helping with the Communications team has been both enjoyable and enlightening. From being able to speak to several inspiring individuals to handling databases, it is safe to say that I will be finishing my placement with a strong sense of fulfilment.

Before my work experience, I was involved with the Foundation as a 2021 Speak Out Finalist, as well as being an Achievement Award winner through the Air Cadets. After hearing about this opportunity from a good friend of mine, my interest grew. I became invested in learning more about the team who handles the organisation behind the scenes, coupled with the fact that having experience in an office environment would be invaluable. The team have been so welcoming and supportive; the loving atmosphere was one of the many things I appreciated.

I would like to thank everyone who I have been able to speak and work with during my time at the Foundation, for your enthusiasm and charisma will be missed!
